I'm a choreographer, composer and dance teacher with a rich and diverse
background in contemporary and urban dance. My movement vocabulary
spans 16 years of street dance (L.A. Hip-Hop, Popping) and 11 years of
contemporary dance, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary Dance and
a Master of Arts in Choreography from Folkwang University of the Arts,
Essen.
Since 2019, I have been working as a choreography assistant, composer
and dancer with YIBU DANCE. I have been teaching international master
classes and workshops in the contemporary and urban dance world for
over 12 years. My creative journey is enriched by my training in
Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies under Jan Burkhardt and Antja Kennedy
in 2017 and 2021/22. My choreographic work has been recognized
with a nomination for the Kurt-Jooss-Preis in 2019 for my piece
"regnet es" at the PACT Zollverein Choreographic Center. My professional
journey also includes a guest contract with the Pina Bausch Tanztheater
Wuppertal from 2013 to 2017 and in the urban and commercial dance world,
I was collaborating with major brands such as Nike, Adidas, Puma, Odlo,
Bentley, Porsche, BMW, and Audi from 2007 to 2011.
Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Music in Integrative Composition
at ICEM, Folkwang University of the Arts, which I will complete in April
2025. Prior to my focus on dance, music and art, I worked as an
IT-system Engineer from 2003 to 2005 after completing my professional
training at GIT in Gelsenkirchen-Buer from 1999 to 2002.
I am fluent in German and English, and consider movement my mother
tongue.
